Why live theater matters with Local Theater Company’s Pesha Rudnick
In this episode of the OnStage Colorado podcast, host Alex Miller catches up with Pesha Rudnick, artistic director of Boulder’s Local Theater Company. Local focuses exclusively on producing new American plays, and one of them — Paper Cuts — won a Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Award this year for Best Original Play. Local’s newest production — Flame Broiled or The Ugly Play by Rodney Hicks — starts Oct. 24.

BETC’s devised documentary recaps a chaotic year
In this episode of the OnStage Colorado podcast, host Alex Miller catches up with Steven Weitz and Lynde Rosario to talk about the upcoming video production of CO2020. The show from the Boulder Ensemble Theatre Co. is a devised documentary, comprised of a variety of Zoom interviews with dozens of people around the state which were then transcribed, edited and portrayed by Colorado actors.
