Storyteller Odd?Rod is a motivational speaker using stories, poetry, and photography to uplift audiences and help individuals overcome the obstacles life brings. Forwarding his journey has earned him fully-funded bachelor's and master's degrees and he's now returned to the stage where he has been recognized as this year's Spoken Word Artist of the Year. He feels that reality must be documented and shared for the sake of those who are subjected to similar conditions.
In today’s episode, we explore letting go of the ego and the facades that tend to hinder us. He also unpacks his focused concepts of “our goals will separate us” and “our losses carry wins”. TJ Roberts is a social entrepreneur with a for-profit business who uses coffee as a conduit for good in the inner city of Kansas City, Kansas.. Robert Head is a veteran of the United States Army who served in Iraq from 2003-to 2007. After graduating from Texas A&M he became an activist for veterans and cannabis where he focused on educating the communities about the positive effect cannabis has on the veteran population. Cannabis can help veterans heal and become the person they so desperately want to be.
In Today’s episode, Robert shares his story of experiencing the brotherhood of the military, joining just days before the September 11th attacks, and how that has propelled him to fight for his brothers after leaving the military. Originally from Kansas City, Joshua Gleave is a Nashville-based songwriter, producer, and podcaster.

072 - Todd Scattini - (Veteran, Cannabis Activists, CEO of Harvest 360)
Todd is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with 27 years of service. He is a former enlisted soldier and a West Point graduate. He spent a career as an Armor and Cavalry officer and service as a military diplomat in six European countries (Germany, Belgium, France, Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia). His time in service included numerous deployments to Afghanistan and one in Kosovo.
Upon retiring in January of 2018, Todd threw all of his energy and efforts into the legalization of medical cannabis with a specific focus on gaining access for veterans. He is the CEO of Harvest 360, a full-service cannabis consulting company responsible for winning dozens of licenses across the country. Harvest 360 looks at the re-legalization of cannabis as a paradigm shift and an opportunity to address many of the issues created by cannabis prohibition.
Todd is an activist, currently serving on the advisory board of the Kansas Cannabis Coalition and the Veterans Action Council, and previously on the Missouri Cannabis Trade Association. He is also an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University in their Cannabis Science and Policy Program.
He lives in the middle of the country on the border between legal cannabis access and harshly punished criminalized marijuana (Platte City, MO). He is married with two sons and a golden doodle.
On Today’s podcast, Todd shares his journey from private to officer and then to Cannabis activists and entrepreneur. We talk about the power of building partnerships to effect real change and grow an effective business as well as the life-changing effects medical cannabis can have in people's lives. He also shares how he was mentored in the art of crafting words and vision casting by generals who were literally working to keep countries together.

Steve Bankey is the songwriter and frontman for Steve Bankey and The Flatlanders. The Flatlanders is a red-dirt country band out of Kansas City, MO. Heavily influenced by the grassroots country music movement originating in southern parts of Texas and Oklahoma. They have opened for Whiskey Myers, Granger Smith, Whitey Morgan, Ray Wiley Hubbard, and Morgan Evans to name a few. They have also played the firewater festival and Mid America Music Festival and are currently queued up to tour the festival circuit non-stop through the summer of ‘22.

After cutting their teeth on a steady diet of fanfiction in the South-West of England, Esme Symes-Smith wandered north to Wales for their degree in Literature and Creative Writing then promptly migrated to Missouri after meeting their wife on Tumblr.
Esme has been a ghostwriter, an editor, a frozen-yogurt seller, a caffeine dealer, and now wrangles preschoolers for a living
On Today’s episode, Esme shares their journey of embracing their pronouns and how that led to living with greater confidence. They also shared how that confidence led to finishing out their novel that is to be released later in 2022. 12 years have passed since the stroke and it still affects her speech and her ability to walk. But, it is amazing to see the career that she has built and how she continues to look forward to the future on who else she can help in their career.
