The term sleep hygiene refers to the process of controlling your environment and pre-bedtime behaviour in order to have the best sleep possible. Try the following to optimize your sleep:
- As light keeps you awake, your room should be as dark as possible. - It's equally important to feel as comfortable as possible, for me that implies a certain the of mattress and a cold room. - Since your body craves routine, another useful idea better sleep is to establish a sleep routine. I go to bed at pretty much the same time every night and enjoy some light reading before I turn out the lights.
