29. Summer of Sex Ed: Recovering from Purity Culture with Dr. Camden Morgante
Play • 33 min

Dr. Camden Morgante is a licensed clinical psychologist and adjunct college professor. She writes and speaks about Christianity, psychology, and gender equality and is currently writing a book on the myths of purity culture.

In this episode, Dr. Camden and I talk about some of the unintended consequences of purity culture and how we can recover and heal from the psychological impacts it has on us, because sex and sexuality is way more about the physical - so much of it is also spiritual, and psychological. Dr. Camden shares some therapeutic techniques that can help us become more comfortable with our sexuality and overcoming sexual shame.

This episode is for all of us who are trying to navigate away from a toxic or unhealthy view of sexuality and toward a more positive and healthy view of sexuality.
