Follow Bobby Clark on Instagram: here This episode of Beyond the Bump is brought to you Pure Harvest: Pure Harvest is an Australian company of organic, natural and vegan products! Although Sophie eats dairy in her house, her family have LOTS of smoothies with non-dairy milks and love their delicious blended nut milks. Poppy's personal favourite is Nut Bliss and Sophie's has been loving Lush Almond.   Jayde's girls have been putting their nut spreads on literally everything from bread, rice cakes to her very own clothing!! Some sweet advice would be, not to wear white around the children who are doing this!   We love that all their products have simple ingredients, they are free from preservatives with no artificial additives!  Their current range includes non dairy milks, fruit juices, cold pressed oils, organic sweeteners, rice cakes and soy sauces as well as a large range of organic grains, flours dried fruit and more!  What's MORE, is they're always easy to get as they are readily available at Coles and Woolworths plus all other local independent Aussie stores. That Time Of The Month: WTF Even Are Hormones? And How Do They Affect Your Mental Health
Hello, lovely angels! This week we’re bringing you the first of a three-part series all about womxn’s health. For episode one, we’re starting at the beginning: periods. We talk about where we were when we first got our period, how the lack of education and information for young women during that time is damaging and why Grace used to wear pads to school for no reason. Then, class is in session for a chat about hormones and their impact on our mental health. Women are twice as likely to suffer from depression than men, a statistic that confirms the link between female hormones and mental health. So why aren’t we talking about it? We discuss how our hormones impact our day-to-day lives, including when it comes to anxiety, depression and stress levels without us even knowing. Plus, what exactly even is PMS? And how do you know if what you’re feeling is normal? Finally, we speak to Olympic athlete Eliza McCartney about using your menstrual cycle to excel physically, why it is that so many young women drop sport when they hit puberty, and why when she was younger she wanted to avoid getting abs. For this series, we’ve partnered with Me., the new period care brand that has been designed to be displayed proudly and openly on your shelf—not hidden away. Me. is committed to championing a new narrative around period care through empowering campaigns, collaborations and charity partnerships, holding space for all people with periods and the issues that are important to them. Blair James // A small town boy building a self-tan world
While last week Farah spoke of faraway places, this week’s guest is homegrown but has exported the Aussie experience through a booming business described as Aussie Made, Globally Loved. Blair James co-founded self-tanning disrupter *Bondi Sands* in 2012 to capture everything that makes Aussie summers iconic through what has grown to over 50 products in a whopping 30,000 retailers worldwide. Of course the business’ huge success, continual innovation and championing of sun safety and sustainability are incredible impressive and Blair shares many useful tips on brand building and scaling that had me furiously taking down notes. But, unsurprisingly if you’re a regular listener, I was more thrilled to explore his lesser known earlier years including his very small country hometown called – wait for it – *YEA (pronounced "yay")* – and that he didn’t excel in VCE nor did he finish university neither of which have hindered where he ended up. As always, there’s some hilarious fun facts in between – nothing humanises a person more than hearing them laugh especially about the joys of iso haircuts! As a businesswoman but also as a human, I love exploring the brains behind beloved brands and hope you do too. + Follow *Blair James** *and* **Bondi Sands** *here + Announcements on Insta at *@spoonful_of_sarah* + Subscribe to not miss out on the next instalment of YAY! >>> *JOIN THE SEIZE THE YAY FB GROUP* <<<
