Today I talk about the term ‘psychological safety’ something Karen referenced. In Amy Edmondson’s words she says ‘it is a shared belief that the team is safe for interpersonal risk taking’.
I know on occasions I have felt embarrassed, bullied, anxious…to have a voice.
Project teams must create environments for each of us to feel safe and valued. We all bring our strengths, our stories and our dreams to work.
When we learn from our mistakes and share ideas, we make better decisions.
