Chantal Rickards started life in a middle class family in rural England and running class plays in school. After college, she took a job selling magazine ads. This led to a job producing television shows with legendary British broadcast David Frost. This eventually brought Rickards to Los Angeles, where she is the chief executive of BAFTA -- the British Academy of Film and TV Arts in Los Angeles.
