COVID, Protests, Motherhood and Trapped in South Carolina with TODAY Show's Sheinelle Jones
Play • 52 min

You know Sheinelle Jones best as the co-host of the third hour of NBC's TODAY Show. Pre-TODAY, she rose through the ranks of broadcast TV, working in Illinois, Oklahoma and Philly. In addition to co-anchoring a morning news juggernaut, Sheinelle co-hosts Sirius XM’s “Off the Rails” and hosts “Through Mom’s Eyes,” a digital series for TODAY where she visits the mothers of celebrities. Let's not forget she's also an incredible wife and devoted mother of three.

Sheinelle tells Hilaria and Daphne about her recovery from vocal surgery and not being able to speak for weeks. She gets into how she juggles work with kids and how her family has adjusted to the coronavirus pandemic. Plus, she discusses the recent nation-wide protests with her children and thoughts for others on fostering inclusiveness with their children. Also, she touches on what she's learned from talking to the mothers of highly successful people. Oh, and she explains how she's been pleasantly stuck in South Carolina for four months since the shelter in place requirements came down at the beginning of the pandemic.
