Part of Sarah Thomas' day is curating the wine at a fancy Manhattan restaurant while the other part is filled with getting kids to try diverse food. Sarah is the co-founder, Chief Imaginator, and Story Chef at Kalamata’s Kitchen, which is both a successful children's book series and organization that aims at transforming picky eaters into adventurous ones. Sarah has written 3 Kalamata's Kitchen books which deals with the young protagonist going on food-based adventures. Sarah deals with adult eaters at her other job as sommelier at Le Bernardin in New York City.
Sarah discusses how the Kalamata book series encourages kids to try new foods, and how the Kalamata organization works with restaurants to get kids to expand their palate.
