But to start things off, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter, are talking about the US Men's National Team calling-up three Galaxy players. And while Sebastian Lletget is the most seasoned of the players headed towards the December 9th matchup with El Salvador in Miami, the real focus is on Efrain Alvarez and Julian Araujo. Both Galaxy players are now in a tug-of-war between the United States and Mexico. What could this mean for both youngsters as they head into 2021? And what does the schedule congestion look like with the Olympics being thrown into the mix? The guys will then talk about some MLS rescheduling, and what matchups have Galaxy ties as the playoffs come close to reaching their conclusion? Could a Bruce Arena and Caleb Porter matchup show Galaxy fans what could have been? Finally, Josh and Kevin discuss the roster overhaul that started today with some decisions on options. They'll discuss what changes, if any, the Galaxy have already committed to and why one name is left off this list but is still technically a Galaxy player. Plus, an update on where the Galaxy are in their search for a new head coach. Will interviews this week lead to a final answer for the club? We've got a great show lined up for you. A lot of Galaxy-talk headed your way!

BPS 096: Screenwriting with Brass Knuckles with Scott W. Smith
Today on the show we have screenwriter and Emmy-winner Scott W. Smith. Scott is an OG in the screenwriting blogging space. His blog Screenwriting from Iowa has been around since 2008 and has been nationally recognized. His new book Screenwriting with Brass Knuckles is a bare-knuckle approach to the screenwriting process. Here's some info on his book. Every screenwriter faces fear and failure. The legendary screenwriter William Goldman once said he was “programmed to fail.” Yet he went on to have a long career that included winning two Oscar Awards. Susannah Grant put a positive spin on constant failure saying “that free-falling feeling you get right on the knife-edge of total disaster may, in fact, be an essential ingredient to doing anything worthwhile.” Arguably the worst failure for the new screenwriting is either not finishing a script —or not even starting the writing process. You’ll find throughout this book that talent and hard work are essential to succeed at any level. You can’t teach that. But distilled from over 3,000 posts from Emmy-winner Scott W. Smith’s nationally recognized blog Screenwriting from Iowa . . .. and Other Unlikely Places, these 10 chapters will hopefully guide and inspire you to improve your writing and output. Sprinkled throughout these pages are quotes curated from an eclectic and diverse mix of many top screenwriters and filmmakers throughout the history of film and television. Enjoy my conversation with Scott W. Smith.
