Buried Treasure: “Here ruining people is considered sport”
Play • 19 min
Co-hosts Michael Isikoff and Dan Klaidman rewind back to July 1993 when deputy White House counsel Vince Foster was found dead in a park in Northern Virginia. A torn-up suicide note was found in his briefcase that said, “Here ruining people is considered sport.” Foster’s suicide spawned conspiracy theories that he had been murdered. But those conspiracy theories were debunked in a report written by a young lawyer working for Whitewater independent counsel Ken Starr. That lawyer, who later became a judge, is now on President Trump’s list of Supreme Court nominees: Brett Kavanaugh.
