Eduardo  Cossio is a Peruvian-born West Australian composer and improviser whose work includes music for ensembles, short-film, electro-acoustic composition and improvised performance. He is also an active writer, broadcaster, and promoter in the Perth music scene. Eduardo’s writing appears on Cool Perth Nights,  RealTime Arts Magazine, ADSR Zine and SeeSaw Mag; he is a presenter on Difficult Listening on RTRFM, and organizes Outcome Unknown, a concert series of experimental performance.

Eduardo spoke to Em in the studio about growing up in Lima, how he came to study composition in Western Australia, and why he is so passionate about improvised music.
