Also, consumers favor companies contributing to society or the environment, as indicated by 83% in the same survey. Gallup's 2019 study revealed that employees aligned with their company's mission are six times more engaged and 22 times more likely to thrive in their roles.

Nancy Lyons on Leadership Pitfalls: the Common Mistakes That Sabotage Success at Work
Recent reports indicate a positive trend in workplace leadership, reflecting an 84% employee satisfaction rate with leadership according to Gallup's 2023 "State of Leadership" report — a notable increase from 70% in 2015. Notably, a 2019 study by Harvard Business Review highlighted that companies boasting robust leadership teams yield a 15% higher return on equity compared to those with weaker leadership structures.
However, despite these improvements, several areas for enhancement persist. Survey data from Gallup's 2023 report reveals that 61% of employees perceive room for enhancement in their leaders' communication skills.
Moreover, a significant 78% of employees, as per Glassdoor's 2022 findings, feel their contributions lack adequate recognition. Additionally, Gartner's 2023 study found that 59% of employees believe their leaders could enhance empowerment and task delegation—a crucial aspect requiring attention for further advancement in organizational leadership.

Organizations provide various benefits and compensations to employees for their splendid work. From lunches to gift cards small goodies always seem like the right package. But do employees really want and appreciate these small goodies?
First of all randomly giving out gift cards usually does more damage than good. Often we see a companies do this and they have these recognition programs around performance. It usually happens once a year which leaves many employees demotivated with reduced productivity. So a better way to do a recognition program is to identify a set of values, for example, and what are the behaviors of those values look like that you would expect of someone who actually deserves a recognition award.

I am not my mental illness. I am a spiritual guide and bipolar with Alfredo Borodowski
Despite increased efforts and awareness around diversity, inclusion, and social justice, neurodiversity continues to be an underrepresented part of most organizations’ DEIB strategy (diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging). Think about it in certain countries bipolar disorders can reach up to 4% of the population but we rarely hear about it at work. Basically, we only have 2 conclusions about people with mental health disorders:
a) Either bipolar people are not well accepted in the workplace due to fear and misunderstanding.
b) Their mental illness is not something that prevents them from doing any job.

There are many options to provide feedback to your people - the right way
The feedback sandwich is one way to organize your feedback so it's more balanced and easier to deliver. But it is not always the most efficient approach to create new behaviors, It is time to be blunt about a practice that that is widely spread but not always the best.
By offering “keep behaviors,” or praise, at the same time you're offering “change behaviors,” or criticism, you demonstrate to employees that you see performance strengths as well as performance deficits.

Well-being at Work is way more than just managing stress
What is well-being? There are various criteria of wellbeing: mental, physical, emotional, career, social .etc. all of which are necessary for the fulfillment of needs of employees.
Organizational Wellbeing is driven by acting on our human needs (Maslow):
☑️ Self-actualization –realization of a person’s potential
☑️ Esteem –approval, respect, and recognition
☑️ Belonging –acceptance, affiliation, and affection
☑️ Safety –security, stability, and freedom from fear
☑️ Physiological needs –food, shelter, and water.
These needs go well beyond the association of wellbeing with stress and burnout - that are the natural consequences or symptoms of inefficient support of these individual needs.
More importantly, employees need to feel happy and satisfied with their jobs if they want to make their mental health a priority because both are indirectly linked to each other.

Confidence is based on decisions and achievements that feed your passion and that cause you to feel cheerful and at ease with what your identity is. 🔎 Finding these elements of confidence is perhaps the most beneficial quest for you life.
🧠 Research shows that a regular practice of rituals and habits — like surrounding ourselves with people who believe in us, or celebrating even our smallest of wins — can help us feel more self-assured over time.
