What Dey Happen?
The Roomies are joined by a guest for yin with a hint of yang (1.15). Our Yang agrees men aren't generally observant (2.20) as Kess dives straight in with the discussion about women speaking pidgin with Cel sharing her views that pidgin is necessary for communication (9.36).
Vee comes for 'Gey Hey' (10.52) and then proceeds to Christian High (11.38). The conversation then veers into culture and food (12.32) as the Roomies are put on the spot by the visiting Yang, Michael (15.30).
Two can play that game (23.00)--Do men make a bigger fuss when women cheat? Michael disagrees. We agree everyone should wash their own socks (46.35) I'm glad we cleared that one up.

Horrible Bosses
After their week in the mancave, the #roommates return to The Other Room with some choice words for the guys (01:02). Hairy musty balls? Ewwww.
Cel recalls an interesting conversation with some pals (01:44) and wants to know, “Do women bosses tend to be tougher and harder to please than men?” (02:40). AJ doesn’t think so (03:03) but Kess is not so sure (04:15). Vee says it’s harder for women to be taken seriously (05:27) and thinks people just want to be mollycoddled (07:12). Women are their own enemies -- Or are they (09:20)? And why the tough love (16:57)?

ATW Discusses Feminism & Being An Ally
It's Topsy Turvy week here at GCR and the show starts with some unfamiliar voices - It's the guys from After The Whistle on The Other Room (1:00)!
The guys introduce themselves (2:00) and give their personal definitions of Feminism. Donald goes first (3:00), Eames goes next (4:25) and reminds us of an old TV commercial to prove his point. It's then Cyril's turn (6:23) and Moos rounds it off by trying to poke a few holes in Cyril's definition (7:35).
Moos asks Donald (8:15), Eames (11:25), and Cyril (17:10) to give examples of gender based inequalities they have experienced. Donald and Eames stay close to home and Cyril reaches out to one of his favourite Superhero franchises for help.
The show moves on to oppressive centering of the discussion (19:10) and Eames takes us down a much darker side to gender based prejudices in Ghana. Stews, Lifting Blocks And Gendered Jobs
Cel is missing and the roomies want chocolate (1.04). Keni is this week's guest, she tells us more about herself and what inspired her writing (2.10). Kess and AJ are getting married! Uninvited Guests & Hairy Situations
TOR guest Donald, brings along a friend (Gavin) when invited by Cel, Vee and Kess to fill in for AJ.
The Roommates discuss the fashion/modeling industry and how it's embracing African culture and looks for What's Poppin (4.30). Vee brings up hairy scenarios (11.55), and Gavin admits he would SCAR a woman's mufasa doing a kitkat! Lol (12.43). Donald's not keen on hair anywhere except on the head ( 14.30). There's a guest roomie in the other room! AJ sublets without informing the roomies but girls fall fast for the guest. Dzyadzorm introduces herself to the roomies and gets invited to stay forever. On what's popping, Vee talks about #keepthechangebae (4.30). Cel gushes about Nigerian Twitter and shouts out her college roomies (cheating on us are we?) (4.46). The girls contemplate what it means to go on a date (10.39).

Tell a friend: the Roommates are BACK!
After a week away, the Roomies catch up on What's Poppin' (1:25). Cel swoons about Zimbabwe's community Friendship Benches, where grannies offer a little more than just cookies and warm milk. AJ urges more women to provide safe spaces for other women to share their personal struggles (03:10) and Vee gives a few pointers (hint hint: it's much closer than you think).
Kess puts the spotlight on Johns Hopkins' first black female neurosurgeon (4:38) and Cel almost ignites a Ghana-Nigeria war...but this time, it's not over jollof rice (5:15). Vee professes her love for Nigerian men (5:30) while AJ sneaks in a Grey's Anatomy reference (06:00).

Oscars and Strength of a Woman
Vee, Cel and AJ have on a special guest filling in for Kess. Lara is an advocate for African Women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, using her online platform Levers In Heels.

What’s popping? (1.24) Vee brings Hunter queen, Aisha Bakari into the limelight and the roomies gush about her bravery in the face of terrorist threats in Northern Nigeria. Cel introduces benevolent sexism with mixed responses from the roomies.
