Type 2 diabetes increases the likelihood of developing Alzheimer’s later in life.

 

30% of the population carries the APO-E4 gene, those with 2 copies - increase the likelihood of those individuals developing cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer’s.
