How Using Digital Whiteboards Will Increase Your Profits
Play • 19 min

Steve loves a good flow chart! In fact, he’s pretty psyched about process mapping, brainstorming and digital whiteboards too! In this episode, he explains why mapping your ideas visually can increase efficiency and why it’s an essential skill to master to get the most out of your time and energy.

  • When you have a multimodal approach to your sharing of information and your learning you are more likely to be reaching the highest number of people in the ‘room’ with you as possible.
  • Use a brainstorming approach to your goal planning. Think of everything that could be a goal and throw it onto a digital whiteboard that is visually accessible to everyone and together it is easier to prioritise those elements.
  • Using diagram and flowcharts make it easy to express the complex processes and parts involved in a particular task.
  • Marketing planning suits visuals particularly well due to its complicated nature and, in terms of automation, covering all the different eventualities and formats that landing a client can encompass.

‘I am a very good visual learner which means that if I picture a diagram, that’s how I learn. That’s true for about 65% of the population.’

‘You can do this on a digital board, I know some clients that have teams in an office do this literally on a whiteboard and get post-it notes and do exactly the same thing.’

‘If you can get your team on board, to understand the vision that you have for your company and understand why you ‘park’ certain things and escalate things to a higher priority and you can get that over to them quickly, then they can get on board and start working towards your vision.’

‘Ours is a very simple marketing funnel in the big picture and there are probably about 20 different moving parts and elements to it.’
