  • Cycle round each person and ask them a very specific set of questions which will give you confidence that your team is on the right track. This can be a great opportunity to bond with each other and discuss events company wide.
  • Knowing your team will allow you to coordinate and facilitate interaction between the various personalities in your working group.
  • The questions are ; What challenges did you have yesterday and how did you overcome them? What is your plan for todays work? Do you have any concerns or do you foresee any challenges that you need addressed by anyone in the team?

‘We have typically in our meeting 5 or 6 people depending on whose around for the departmental meeting for that particular day. If you have a big organization you might spread this out into a number of departmental meetings.’

‘We’ve had these meetings run into 20 minutes, 40 minutes or an hour in the past. We’ve done everything wrong before we figured out how to do things right.’

‘You can talk about a lot in a minute if you’re very focused on what you want to say. People get good at this and they practice what they are going to say in their heads.’
