Play • 14 min
In 1982, someone beat 17-year-old Sharon Ward on the head, then slashed her wrists and left her in a Toledo-area cornfield, challenging her to save herself. Nearly 40 years later, Oregon Police have released a name and photos of a "person of interest" as they try to close in on her killer. www.ohiomysteries.com feedback@ohiomysteries.com www.patreon.com/ohiomysteries www.twitter.com/mysteriesohio www.facebook.com/ohiomysteries Music: Audionautix- The Great Unknown The Great Phospher- Daniel Birch

Unsolved Mysteries Rewind: Big Announcement and New Series!
Today, I am announcing changes that are to come and what you can expect in the future for this podcast! First, the bad news, I am sorry to announce that Kim has decided to leave the show and focus on personal matters but we remain great friends and I hope for only great things for her! The good news is that the show must go on! I have thought hard about the format of the show and how it can move forward while still providing deep dives and in depth coverage and I feel listeners will greatly enjoy what is to come. Unsolved Mysteries Rewind will always focus on the Robert Stack Seasons. Retaining the overall feel of the show is important to me so please stay tuned. That being said, I am releasing a new podcast series alongside Unsolved Mysteries Rewind which focuses on a forgotten Old Time Radio show from 1936 named, Unsolved Mysteries! Unsolved Mysteries Rewind will return in 2 weeks with a new episode! Please enjoy this pilot episode of, Unsolved Mysteries Rewind: 1936 As always, thank you to Mat Graham from Artificial Fear for allowing us to use his amazing cover of the Unsolved Mysteries Theme Song! Check out his YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoQNyGGSIl_ZbEDq-teZDWQ And thank you to Ryan Hughes from Planet H for lending us his spot-on “Stack Voice” and working with us to have such a cool intro and outro! 92 - The Murders of Amina & Sarah Said
Yaser Said moved to America from Egypt in 1983 and shortly after, at the age of 30, married 15 year old Patricia Owens. By the time she was 18, the couple had three children under the age of five, and severely struggled to make ends meet. Yaser was a controlling and abusive husband and father, particularly focusing his attention on his beautiful daughters, who he saw as a way to secure financial success once they were old enough to marry off to wealthy "suitors" back in Egypt. When they rebelled against this abuse, an already mentally troubled Yaser completely lost it, and the end result was the tragic and brutal murder of the two bright young women who were unfortunate enough to be born into this unstable family. Join us as we discuss the murders of Amina and Sarah Said at the hands of their father, Yaser. If you or someone you know are experiencing abuse, here are some resources: http://www.womenslaw.org/ http://www.breakthecycle.org/ http://www.ndvh.org/ http://www.stopvaw.org/ * If you have a paranormal story of any kind, record yourself telling the story on your phone or computer, and email it to us for our next episode!
