Keep Calm and monkii on - Thoughts on 'The Virus'
12 min

Hey monkiis,

We are going through some wild times indeed... I wanted to share a few thoughts and observations as the Coronavirus starts to hit home here in the USA. First and foremost, I think that this is a situation to be taken seriously and not brush off as 'it's no big deal'. People are dying and a lot more could. However, I believe that if we WORK TOGETHER, make good decisions, and keep calm, this too shall pass. I have seen an overwhelmingly positive response from the monkii family. Many monkiis are training while working from home and a lot of younger monkiis (ie kids home from school) are joining them as well. My wife, daughter and I went for a hike yesterday afternoon and everyone was friendly and seemed to even be more grounded as times like these can remind us of what is most important.

There is a lot that is out of our individual control. The best thing you can do is focus your time and energy and what you can control and not get caught up in what could easily turn to mass hysteria. Preparedness is a good thing, but don't take it to the extreme. Your neighbor needs toilet paper, medical supplies, and food as much as you do. Be smart, but also be reasonable.

We are here if you need us. Let's push forward together.

Thanks for tuning in and if you are enjoying the episodes we would be eternally grateful if you could leave a 5-star review. It helps to grow the monkii family and spread the good word of the Wild. Thank you.

See you out there and Live Wild or Die,

-monkii Dan
