In these chapters we read of the calamity that will come, and then in chapter five God is likened to a farmer who plants a vineyard. He prepares the soil and does everything possible to provide the very best conditions, and plants the very best vine available. But instead of good grapes, he gets worthless ones. Then he asks, "What more was there to do for My vineyard that I have not done in it?” At the end of time, when the final judgment comes, God will have done everything possible to give every last man and woman the opportunity to have a relationship with Him and go into eternity in His presence. No one will be able to say, “But I didn’t know!” Now, don’t ask me how this will be. All I know is that we serve a righteous and just God, and that He is omniscient. He knows all. So if He is says that all will be given the opportunity to accept Him, then I believe Him. We do know that He has said that it is not His will that any shall perish, and so that means that everyone will have had the chance to decide for Him. I trust Him, and I can rest in the knowledge that He will do as He has said. My responsibility, and yours, is to do the work He has called us to do. That is, as we have said already this week on the show, to be willing to tell others about Jesus when the Holy Spirit gives us the opportunity to do so.
