Talking Luft 2.0! with Luke Durbridge. S2.E6
Play

He’s a man that needs little introduction over here at Life in the Peloton. My mate, and Aussie pro for Team BikeExchange, Luke ‘Durbo’ Durbridge.

This week I’ve got a whole NEW series of Talking Luft questions and I thought Luke would be the perfect guy to try them out on.

I can tell you it was a bloody laugh. As you’ll hear we had a lot of fun in this episode, taking the piss out of each other.

I ask him the hard hitting, and often, divisive questions:

Arm warmers over or under his jersey?

Leg warmers over or under his socks?

Same seat on the team bus or different every time?

Espresso or filter coffee?

…plus a whole lot more!

Sit back and enjoy this one.

And don’t forget, I had him over on The Cycling Podcast last week talking Cobbled Classics 2021. I caught up with Luke just after Gent-Wevelgem to review the races that had been and to answer a few of your listener questions that were sent in. It’s a great one if you’re not quite ready to say goodbye to classics season.

Stay tuned next week for my episode on The Cycling Podcast with Tom Pidcock, followed by his episode of Talking Luft the week after.

Cheers,

Mitch

Theme Music

The theme music for Life in the Peloton was composed by Pete Shelley, who was lead singer of the punk band Buzzcocks. It was commissioned by the production company behind Channel 4’s coverage of the Tour de France in the 1980s and was used as the theme music for the nightly highlights show. Pete died in December 2018. We were given permission by Pete’s widow and his manager to continue using the music for the theme tune to Life in the Peloton. To hear more about the music, listen to the Andre Greipel episode of Life in the Peloton.
