The Story of Miami sludge punks HEADFOAM with...Red, Louie, and Alex
Headfoam formed in Miami, FL in 2017. The bands consists of Red Rivera (Bass), Alex Noel (Vocals/Guitar) and Louie Louie Collazos (Drums). Headfoam describes their music as Black Flag meets Black Sabbath. At the time of this recording, Headfoam has released one self-titled album in 2021, which is available on cassette tape and digital formats. Robert Price and Priya Ray are founding members of Kreamy 'Lectric Santa (KLS). Originating out of Miami, FL, In the early 90's, KLS started out of a band called The Prom Sluts and blended punk, psych experimental and electronic music. Amy was born and raised in Miami, FL. Starting her own zine in 1996, Fiddler Jones, and soon thereafter founding her independent record label, Fiddler Records at just 16 years old. Fiddler Records released some of South Florida's most up and coming punk and emo bands of the mid 90s and early 00s; with bands such as Dashboard Confessional, Vacant Andys, A New Found Glory, The Agency, Seville and more. #64 Pete Gordon (Radiobaghdad)
Pete grew up in the South Florida punk and metal scenes of the late 1980s and 1990s. His first band, Zero Hour started when he only 10-11 years old. He played bass in pioneering South Florida hardcore punk band Radiobaghdad. Prior to that, he was the bassist in Miami hardcore band, Ego Trip. He also played in a punk cover band called The Clap and punk bands, Irish Car Bomb and Hudson. Pete shares memories of playing the former Coral Springs Civic Center, record shops of South Florida's past, 88.5 WKPX and a lot more. [Episode: 64 - Recorded 10/21/2023]

Jeremy grew up in St. Augustine, FL and went to college in Gainesville. Since the mid-1990's, Jeremy has played in a plethora of bands, covering a wide spectrum of different genres such as punk, bluegrass, alternative rock, noise-rock, and more. In his early years, Jeremy learned how to play guitar from Floida folk music legened, Bob Patterson. Jeremy also plays bass, drums, sings, and even the accordion! Audrey Silverman grew up in South Florida (Miami) and went to college at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Atoms For Peace was formed sometime between 1983-1984 by George Tabb (Roach Motel/Furious George) and Chip Fowkes. They added Audrey Silverman (bass), Nancy Goff (drums), Tom Holtz (guitar). Atoms For Peace released one album in 1985, it was recorded at Mirror Image Studios in Gainesville, FL. [Episode: 62 - Recorded 09/02/2023]

Bruce Staelens has a 30+ year career playing trumpet and teaching music. He grew up in the Orlando area, performing at the majority of local clubs and venues all throughout the Central Florida area. Bruce also played in other parts of the state including Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, Key West, Sarasota and many other cities. He recorded many sessions for independent blues label King Snake Studios (Sanford, FL) along with many blues shows. Bruce spent 11 years in NY and played events in Canada, Europe, Japan, and more. The Story of MIAMI hardcore/punk band CHOCOLATE GRASSHOPPER
Chocolate Grasshopper was a mid-late 1980's hardcore/punk from Miami, FL. Three of the four original band members: Brent Wilson (vocals/guitar), later formed Radon (Gainesville), Andre Serafini (drums), later formed Quit (Miami) and Mike Wetherill (bass) tell the story of Chocolate Grasshopper from the band's origins, the Partyin' With Beardhead demo cassette, shows at the Cameo Theatre, skateboarding, and a lot more. Original member David Perez tell the story of Orlando Boy Band, C-Note. C-Note formed in the late 90's and was managed by music mogul Lou Pearlman (Backstreet Boys/NSync). The Story of South Florida Hardcore Band THE BELIEVERS
Tony Downs (vocalist) and Chad Palmer (guitar) tell the story of their late 80s/early 90's hardcore band THE BELIEVERS. The Believers were out of West Palm Beach, and are one of South Florida's earliest hardcore bands. Some could argue they were the first. Tony and Chad take us through the early beginnings, the formation of the band, recording the 1987 "Half Way Home" demo cassette, recording their unreleased album at Morrisound Studios in Tampa, reminiscing about the countless shows opening for bands such as Social Distortion, Fugazi, Slapshot, DayGlo Abortions, Insted, Judge, Warzone, Bl'ast! just to name a few. They also shared the stage with a plethora of other Florida bands of the era such as Powerhouse, The Roidz, No Fraud, Beyond Reason, The Genitorturers, Slap of Reality, People's Court, Awake and FWA just to name a few. In 1977, a funk/soul band out of Fort Lauderdale, FL called MIRROR recorded an album called "Something For Everybody". A contract with ARC Records (American Recording Company) fell through and the album was never released. Thought to have been damaged from 40+ years of storage, the master tapes were recently salvaged and restored. Original MIRROR founders, writers and producers Eddie Hill (guitar/vocals) and Derry Shepard (sax) take us back 46 years ago, rediscovering the unreleased album, listening to clips of all 9 songs, and sharing memories and stories from their time in MIRROR. Jeremy Kolosine is an synth-punk pioneer, composer, and producer out of South Florida by way the UK. He moved with his family to Lighthouse Point, FL at the age of 13. He was the brainchild behind late 70's and early 80's synth-punkers FUTURISK. Alain Rodgers was the bassist for late 80's and early 90's death metal band, Darth Vader's Church. Alain has also played bass in Bullnecks and Mortitron. He was also co-owner of Tallahassee music venue, Cow Haus. Alain is currently a tattoo artist and owner of Euphoria Tattoos, which opened in 1996. (Tallahassee, FL). Bonus!
