Revelation 1:7 Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

This is a very powerful prophecy that threads through the Holy Bible. It prophecies the return of Jesus Christ. I believe it prophesies not only the second coming of Christ, It also prophecies the rapture of the church age as well. Every eye shall see Jesus Christ in the clouds in both events.

As you read this verse, you can sense the intense urgency of this warning and encouraging word. Warning to those who are not ready, and encouraging to those who are ready, who’ve been looking for and love Jesus Christ’s appearing.

“Every eye shall see Him” is a profound proclamation! The word “shall” does not always mean “will” in the Holy Bible. Sometimes it means, “may or may not,” depending on the context of the Scripture and its thread of truth throughout the Holy Bible. But in this case, It does imply “will.”

John is telling us that when Jesus Christ appears in the clouds, every eye will see Him. Christians, and sinners will see Him; and the blind will miraculously be given sight to see Him.

The spiritually dead will also see Him and understand in that moment, whom they are seeing. Everyone from all tribes, nations, languages and dialects will see Jesus Christ in the clouds with power and great glory.

This is also important to point out, The word did not say, ‘In that moment, every eye shall see Him.’ No, it says, “Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him.” It may not be in that moment, but every eye shall see Him one way or another.

Remember, when Jesus Christ appears, it may be in the middle of the day some where, and the middle of the night some where else, when multitudes are sleeping somewhere in that moment. In fact Jesus Christ alludes to this in,

Matthew 24:29-30 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in Heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory.

Jesus Christ is painting the picture what it will be like when He appears, of those who are awake and hard at work underground somewhere in the mines or weren’t outside for whatever reason at that moment; will see a video on their social media streams or on the internet, messenger, a text from a friend and will see Jesus Christ.

People who are sleeping when Jesus Christ appears in that moment of time, and shaken awake from the whole earth shaking, will wake up watching the news, and will see a video, or a picture of His appearing.

Astronomers will witness stars fall from Heaven and see Jesus Christ. However way, there is nothing that stands in the way of this fact, that every eye will see Jesus Christ. All the technology is already in place for this event now.

Every Jew and Gentile will see Jesus Christ in the clouds; and will know who it is they are seeing one way or another, as the next line reveals, “and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.”

“All kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him,” reveals, all who sees Jesus Christ in the clouds, will know who it is. The back-slidden who weren’t ready for His appearing. Those who heard about the rapture and the return of Jesus Christ and rejected it, or simply didn’t believe and readied themselves will wail.

“Holiday saints” who only go to church on Christmas and Easter; sinners who heard the full Gospel message of Jesus Christ and the warning of His return will instantly remember Scriptures of the Holy Bible, and of what they heard. Will know The One whom they are seeing and will also wail.

Because these people who heard the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, and didn’t respond to the call, will think in that instance, that they missed out on salvation forever, This is why they will wail. But that’s the beauty of truth from the Holy Bible, God’s mercy and Jesus Christ’s ever opened arms.

Waiting for you to respond to the call of His salvation invitation to the very end of your life or to the end of the world, whichever comes first. Even if you missed the rapture of the church age and are going through the Great Tribulation, there is still salvation to obtain. All is not lost yet.

On the other side of the coin of truth, who in their right mind would want to put off Jesus Christ’s invitation of salvation today. Since today is the day of salvation, knowing now that He can appear at any moment and bypass all that’s coming.

Who would want to go through the Great Tribulation period, since the way the Lord Jesus teaches about those days, “Except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened (Matthew 24:22).”

That tells us a lot about those who will be saved in the Great Tribulation Period. It will be really difficult for them to stay saved, unless Jesus Christ shortens those days.

It all boils down to your choice to the very end. Your destination of eternity is literally all up to you where you will spend it, based upon your series of choices now to then. You will see this clearly, as we progress through these series of studies of the Book of Revelation.

I’m sure you are wondering about the line that states of those who will see Jesus Christ in the clouds, “They also which pierced Him,” is a two-fold interpretation of the Holy Spirit.

It could be John’s personal conviction and belief, that Jesus Christ was going to appear in the clouds at any moment in his day of the first Century.

And the Centurions who nailed Jesus Christ to the cross, Caiaphas, Pontius Pilate. All the Pharisees and Sadducees and all the Jewish mob who shouted, “Crucify Him” will see Him as well.

But of course that did not happen. In fact they all died off, and we are still waiting for Jesus Christ’s appearance in the clouds, that can happen at any moment.

So what else could this quote actually mean? The backslider, The self proclaimed “Christian” who continues to sin against God. The rejecters of holiness, The despisers of the cross and holy truth and of Holy Ghost conviction; crucifies Jesus Christ all over again (as the Book of Hebrews puts it,)

Hebrews 10:26-31 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense, saith the LORD. And again, The LORD shall judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.

These Scriptures are dealing with Christians who followed Jesus Christ, who were faithful and sincere at one point in their walk with Christ. But somewhere along the way, they gave up, fallen away from faith, or let sin reign in their mortal bodies.

Who partook in communion while living in sin (1 Corinthians 11:23-29), who kept un-forgiveness in their heart. The religious who have a form of godliness, but deny the power and Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Even those who kept the law to be justified, and denied Jesus Christ as Lord and Messiah. These are they who trodden the Son of God underfoot; treated His blood as powerless; insulting the Spirit of grace; crucifies Jesus Christ all over again.

If these people do not repent and get right with God before the day the Lord appears in the clouds with power and great glory, then they will see Him and wail. And will have to go through the Great Tribulation period among all the sinners who rejected the Gospel to this point.

So this passage here is revealing, that all the despisers and rejecters of Jesus Christ, the apathetic, atheists, satanist‘s, the whoremongers. Among them are those who refused to ready themselves for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Refused to believe in the rapture doctrine, will be among the multitudes of kindred of the earth; who will see Jesus Christ coming in the clouds. One way or another, every eye will see Him high and lifted up!

Not only that, John also is testifying that the Real Messiah will return to earth by way of the clouds. As two holy angels has testified to Jesus Christ’s disciples, after He had risen from the dead, and ascended back into Heaven in bodily flesh in,

Acts 1:9-11 And when He had spoken these things, while they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward Heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into Heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into Heaven.

This is how the world’s real Messiah, Jesus Christ is to return. Not by the ways of the earth, where He will suddenly appear in the desert, or in Siberia as a retired traffic cop.

Nor in a secret chamber somewhere in the world or at the Jehovah Witness’s head quarters. Nor by the way of Jim Jones or David Koresh, nor by any other earthly way. In fact Jesus Christ warned about false “christ’s” to come in,

Matthew 24:23-27 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Behold, I have told you before.

Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Again, the real Messiah will come by the way of the clouds in the sky as Jesus Christ concludes this revelation in the next verse,

For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.

How Can You Be Saved?

You must acknowledge in you heart and confess out of your mouth:

  • Your a sinner and need Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior
  • Repent and confess your sins
  • Jesus Christ is Lord
  • Jesus Christ came into this world by the virgin birth in the flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit
  • Jesus Christ died on the cross for the remission of your sins
  • Jesus Christ raised from the dead and ascended back into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God

Romans 10:8-13 The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Confess & Repent Repentance is acknowledging and confession of all your sins to God sincerely from the heart, while turning away from the life of sinning. It’s not feeling sorry and asking God for forgiveness. It’s a full surrendering of your heart, soul, mind and body to Jesus Christ, where ever you are right now. Don’t put it off, remember, life is not guaranteed the next hour.

Believe Believing is active faith. Faith is knowing without doubting, when you ask God to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all sins and unrighteousness, He will.

Call Calling upon the name of the Lord is crying out and asking Jesus Christ to save you. Ask the Father and His only begotten Son from this day forward, for forgiveness of all your sins. Ask them to come into your heart and be Lord of your life. Ask God to write your name in the Lambs Book of Life. And ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit

Luke 11:9-13 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; Seek, and ye shall find; Knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone?

Or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

And that’s how you receive eternal life in Jesus Christ. What do we do after this? We read the Holy Bible, we pray, seeking God’s will, while having fellowship with God. And let Him lead you to a church of His choice.

We do these things to commune with God and to grow and mature spiritually in Jesus Christ, while being strengthened in these confusing days. You’ll be blessed when you do.

God bless you
