1 hr 11 min

Emily & Greg begin the episode by reacting to a very exciting and unique NHL Free Agency period (2:20). Buffalo Sabres GM Kevyn Adams, who had arguably the biggest catch in Taylor Hall, talks about the beginning of a new era in Buffalo (11:40). That serves as a natural transition into the winners and losers of Free Agency (26:53). A pair of hockey greats, Meghan Duggan and Cammi Granato, join the show to talk about their legendary careers on and off the ice, and efforts to grow the game (39:40). During Puck Headlines, we address a major change in leadership, at the top of the NWHL (56:50).

Prospect watch, Reverse Retros, and Lali Toor from APNA Hockey
It’s Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio has been recorded, edited into a masterpiece, and ready to get you set for the weekend. This week, we looked at which Oilers prospects have us most excited, Reverse Retro jersey winners and losers, spoke to Lali Toor from APNA Hockey about winning the Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award, and a whole lot more. To kick off this week’s podcast, we got started with a conversation about the Oilers prospects that are playing over in Europe, specifically which ones we're the most excited about. Whether it's Broberg, Bouchard, Lavoie, or anyone else, there are some important prospects that are getting some quality minutes over in Europe right now and it's been fun to watch many of them have some success. Changing gears, we looked at Jujhar Khaira's spot in the lineup and whether or not his ability to kill penalties will be enough to keep him in the lineup on a nightly basis. From there, we looked at the Reverse Retro jerseys that were released earlier in the week and picked our winners and losers from around the NHL. With the picks locked in, I also made the boys say nice things about their jersey losers to add a small dose of positivity to the podcast. Back to the dark side, we looked back at one of the strangest week's in Oilers history that came in 2018 after Peter Chiarelli both traded Ryan Strome for Ryan Spooner and fired Todd McLellan, replacing him with Ken Hitchcock. Lastly, we were thrilled to welcome Lali Toor from APNA Hockey to talk about the upcoming plans for the organization, what it means to win the Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award, and a whole lot more.

McDavid practicing in Arizona, the Heritage Classic, and
A brand new week means a brand new episode of the Real Life Podcast! This week, the guys covered Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews training together in Arizona, how to properly winterize your house, the NationGear Blackout launch, and a whole lot more.    To kick off today’s podcast, the guys got started with a discussion about Wanye's extended hold time that caused him to miss the beginning of the podcast, and how it doesn't make sense to be in 2020 without having callback features. With that out of the way, the podcast turned to the news that broke this morning about Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews practicing together in Arizona. Naturally, Leafs fans used this as an excuse to say that McDavid will be going back to Toronto because these two guys having a budding friendship, so the guys spent a few minutes talking about how absurd the reactions have been on Twitter. Sticking with sports, the guys then broke down the NFL weekend and how everyone did in the world of betting. Changing gears entirely, Chalmers answered some listener questions about winterizing one's house to make sure that we all make it through the tundra season without issues. If you're curious how much hot your house is losing, you can head to to get a visual look at what Chalmers was talking about. Lastly, the boys wrapped up the podcast by re-visiting the Heritage Classic between the Oilers and Canadiens that took place at Commonwealth Stadium on November 22nd, 2003, which prompted a walk down memory lane.
