Going big in small spaces, design for hard seasons of live & DIY for a Cure with Nickell Morgan
Play • 38 min

In this episode, Cara sits down with Kell Morgan, the DIY content creator behind Simply Handmade and founder of DIY for a Cure, to talk about going big in small spaces, and design in hard seasons of life.

She also dishes on what it’s like to navigate parenting a child diagnosed with cancer.

Kell formally founded Simply Handmade as a creative outlet while navigating life as a stay-at-home mom of 4. She began documenting the journey of creating small and approachable crafts and larger scale projects such as furniture building, novice woodworking, and room makeovers. In between projects, she shares the ups and downs of motherhood from caring for a child with cancer. She strives to teach her community how to make their space uniquely theirs, all while embracing the season of life they’re in. At her core, Kell truly believes everyone can curate a space filled with organization, style, and functionality, and caters to both homeowners and renters alike.
