EP68 - Hannah Screen | From NO STATUS to LET PLAYER in 8 months
Hannah Screen has had a whirlwind year, going from having no status on the LET Access Series to gaining her full playing rights on the Ladies European Tour for 2024. In our chat, Hannah tells her story of going to Oklahoma University, taking a break from golf to come back and win two tournaments out of three and then how she went from a nobody to now calling herself a LET player.
Hannah also explains what she thinks are the top three things that separates herself from most amateurs. So listen up and learn how Hannah transformed her career in the space of 8 months.

EP67 - Albert Venter | You LEAST EXPECT to win on the day
Albert Venter has been playing professional golf since 2018 but he hasn’t just stuck to playing in South Africa. As he turned pro, Albert went and played on the Alps Tour in Europe to learn his craft for a year or two. That journey was ended by an unlucky incident in Rome, but that meant Albert could return to the Sunshine Tour and build his career from there.
We also talk about the pathway to a professional golfer in South Africa, plus his top tips for any aspiring golfer to follow if they want to play at the highest level.

EP66 - Brandon Robinson-Thompson | I fell in LOVE with PROCESS MODE
Brandon Robinson-Thompson has had one hell of year, 5 wins, played in a Major (and finished 59th) and is on the verge of securing a DP World Tour card for 2024. We caught up and talked about his younger years, growing up on the Isle of Wight, how a ACL injury directed him into golf and then his time in America at two Universities.
Within this episode, Brandon gives us some great insights and advice that can help you become a better golfer and person at the same time.

EP65 - Ryan Harmer | Shifting my FOCUS onto me, changed my APPROACH to Professional Golf
Ryan Harmer started playing golf at the age of 8 and by the age of 16, he was playing off scratch. He topped off his Amateur career by representing his county, Hampshire, and helping them to their county finals wins back in 2017. He went on to turn Pro in 2018 and qualified for Final Stage of Open Qualifying in 2019.
We also spoke about how hard it is to raise funds to play Professional Golf and what Ryan is doing to raise the funds needed to play.

EP64 - Jack Floydd | Playing a MAJOR takes it to a whole NEW league
In this episode, I speak to Jack Floydd who is currently playing on the Alps Tour and sitting nicely in the top 5 of the Order of Merit for this year so far.
After serving as Captain for Sussex County, leading the team to the 2013 Southeast England Foursomes title; Jack went to JMU in Virginia not too far away from Washington from 2014-18. On returning from the States, Jack turned Pro in 2020.
In 2022 he made it through a 5-man play-off in the 150th Open Qualifying at Princes to make it through to the main competition and competed against some of the biggest names in golf.
Jack also outlines what he thinks you need to do to play at the highest level of golf.

EP60 - Gemma Clews | I HATED golf to begin with
Gemma Clews' first experience with golf wasn’t a good one, she hated it. After a two year absence from golf, she picked it up again and fell in love with it. With her first professional win coming on the Rose Ladies Series at Hillside in 2022, shooting -5, Gemma has started this season on the LET Access Series with the sole aim of finishing in the top 6 of the OOM to secure a full Ladies European Tour card for 2024.

In this episode, I speak to Tom Gandy, who believe it or not didn't really have any lessons until he joined the England A team!!! Despite that, Tom won several competitions before his England debut such as the Lancashire Links Trophy and the Isle of Man Championship.

EP57 - Mike Browne | Golf SAVED my life & NOW I have a new unit
As inspiring stories go, Mike Browne's journey is one that will definitely sit up there. Mike suffered a broken left leg during a routine training exercise serving for the Royal Artillery unit in 2011, but his injury hadn’t healed almost two years later due to a rare infection which led him to undergo amputation. It was the best thing for Mike, as it gave him a better quality of life straight away.
We talk through his journey from being in the Army to playing professional golf with the help of a charity called On Course Foundation. Mike also talks through what he thinks an aspiring golfer should be doing to fulfil their dreams.

In this episode, I speak to Chiara Noja who is taking the women’s game by storm at the slender age of 16! Having moved from Germany to England at the age of 7, her golf career rapidly take off and within 5 years she was winning tournaments. EP53 - Georgia Coughlin | How I DIDN’T feel like I BELONGED
Georgia Coughlin stumbled into golf whilst she was in Riyadh where her family lived. After picking up the sport she quickly excelled, attending the Lee Westwood School and played her first LET tournament in 2018. Having gone to Q-School and qualified for a card, Georgia did find herself feeling like an imposter against the other golfers who had been playing all their lives.
Thankfully Georgia now feels at home in the Professional arena, all coming to light at the Rose Ladies Series at Brocket Hall this year when Justin Rose himself, watched her open the tournament.

EP49 - Chris Hanson | What does it take to get BACK to the top?
What does it take to get back to the top? In this episode I speak to former European Tour player and founder of 2020protour, Chris Hanson as he embarks on a return to the top of game by entering DP World Tour Q-School.
Chris played on the European Tour (now DP World Tour) for 3 years, 2016-19, with another two years on the Challenge Tour whilst setting up his own mini tour to help professional golfers gain experience for the big leagues, called 2020protour
Having taken some time out and finding his love for the game again, Chris is ready to get back to the levels he knows he can play on, starting with Q-School in Denmark.

EP44 - Dan Brown | Graduating to the Challenge Tour, again!
Dan Brown is no stranger to the Challenge Tour and what’s required to stay there, he did it in his first year as a professional golfer. Unfortunately, he lost his card but after a few years of battling his game and mental health, Dan is back where he belongs with a different outlook on how he is going to stay there.

Curtis Knipes turned Pro at the age of 19 with a handicap of +4.4. Before turning Pro, he qualified for the 148th Open Championship at Royal Portrush Golf Club. His amateur career was filled with successfully defending his Essex Amateur Championship title, becoming the England Champion of Champions.

Next on the podcast is Challenge Tour player, Alfie Plant. Alfie came to prominence by winning the Silver Medal, as the leading amateur, at the 2017 Open Championship. Also, in 2016 he won the Lytham Trophy with a score of 284 to win by seven shots. Recently he finished the 2019 PGA EuroPro Tour season 4th in the Order of Merit to gain a place on the 2020 Challenge Tour.
