In this episode of the Track Limits podcast, we are joined by one of the most notable racing directors in the IndyCar Series, Gavin Ward.
Gavin is by far one of the most accomplished racing engineers you will hear about. In his many years in F1, Gavin's key roles included: trackside control systems engineer, tyre & vehicle dynamics engineer, and race engineer alongside David Coulthard, Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, and Daniel Ricciardo. In that time, he helped Red Bull Racing to progress from a 7th place constructor to a 4x double championship winning and 50+ Grand Prix winning powerhouse.
In 2018, Gavin made the transition into IndyCar and recently became the racing director of Arrow McLaren. He has an amazing career story of how he used his early opportunities and climbed up the ranks at Red Bull Racing. We also explored the reason why he made the move from F1 to Indy and what his goals are for the 2022 season with Arrow McLaren.
