From Saddam Hussain terror to Oprah's couch

My friend and fellow YGL (World Economic Forum Young Global Leader), Zainab Salbi is an Iraqi American women's rights activist, writer, and public speaker. She is the Founder of Women for Women, author of several books, and host of Through Her Eyes with Yahoo News and #Me Too, Now What? and her latest venture the podcast "Refined". We talk about her upbringing with her “uncle” notorious dictator Saddam Hussain, and her own personal sexual abuse as a vulnerable Muslim teenager forced into an abusive marriage. We muse about our similar pathways to becoming founders, immensely passionate about lifting up women and often feeling like imposters in our power fueled circles. Zaineb has more recently found peace in herself and found her chi and most recently has been fiercely advocating for our girls in Afghanistan. A true unstoppable inspiration.
