In this episode of "Leaders On The Rise," host Lydia Pierre sits down with Anne Huntington Sharma, President and Board Member of Huntington Learning Center, the nation's leading tutoring and test prep provider. As the daughter of the company's co-founders, Eileen and Ray Huntington, Anne grew up with the business and shares her unique perspective on taking over the family legacy and pushing the company to the next level.
In 2019, Anne took over the business right before the pandemic and turned a well-known brick-and-mortar business into a virtual start-up under her purview. Anne discusses her role in overseeing business strategy and growth initiatives, including partnerships, marketing, digital transformation, and franchise expansion. She also delves into her passion for the arts as a collector, producer, philanthropist, curator, and founder of AMH Industries, a creative agency for contemporary art and culture. Anne has curated over 30 exhibits across the country and raised over $30 million dollars for various philanthropic causes. She is also an associate producer on "The Price of Everything," an art documentary that appeared on HBO.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Anne is heavily involved in arts, education, and business organizations. She is a board member for the Learning Disabilities Association of America, a member of the International Franchise Association's Women's Franchise Committee, and a Co-Chair of the Young Collectors Council, among other notable positions. Her contributions to these organizations and her service have been recognized by SmartCEO, Apollo Magazine, and Moves Magazine.
Tune in to hear Anne's unique insights and perspective on balancing a successful career in business with a passion for the arts, and learn about her plans for taking Huntington Learning Center to the next level.
