"Now hear this. Now hear this. The lads get into Brian's lack of watching the hit HBO program, The Wire, but quickly pivot to Bashir and his place in Starfleet as an augment. Federation law is pondered as the lads consider the rules for Starfleet entrance for individuals who are augmented or modified. Is their advantage fair to other candidates? The conversation movies to cybernetics other ways characters are changed or upgraded in science fiction. Lots of Bashir talk this week as the lads ponder his upbringing and overall arc in the DS9 series, and how he stacks up against some of the other doctors in Trek. Dean just about derails the conversation trying to figure out why Bashir is just a lieutenant, clearly he forgot Bashir had to have been promoted from ensign to lieutenant junior grade and then lieutenant.
