Final Third Foundation
Final Third Foundation’s Team understands the power of sport and how it can make a positive impact on a child and an entire community.
In May 2011, the Founder and Executive Director, Benjamin Levey, founded the https://www.finalthirdfoundation.org/likoni-community-football-league.html (Likoni Community Football League) (LCFL). There, in one of the poorest areas of Mombasa, Kenya, Levey worked with local coaches to form an organization that supports hundreds of children each year through the power of the game.
Since 2011, while overseeing the LCFL from abroad, Levey brought his passion for sport and development back home to Columbus, Ohio. He has founded, managed and operated several sports and development nonprofit organizations, events and programs, including F3 Soccer & Literacy Program, F3 Environmental Awareness Program, Columbus Nations Cup, Columbus East FC, and Power of Play events. Levey is also the Director of Columbus East Soccer Association.
Levey and the F3 Team hope to develop and expand on its current programs, events and projects to increase the number of children and communities they can positively impact in Columbus, Ohio, Mombasa, Kenya and other areas of the world.

Fangs & Fur
"Feed Like You Give A Damn"
This is the motto of Fangs & Fur owners Danielle and Anthony Santilli.
Fangs & Fur features a raw-food diet for your pet. That's what nature intended for dogs and cats, Santilli says.
Over the past century, the introduction of dry food meant most pets are being given carbohydrate-rich, low-moisture diets, Santilli said.
Most of the dry food is 45% to 75% carbs, and that’s causing all kinds of bad results, like obesity in our pets, tooth decay and a lot of gut issues.Fangs & Fur offers fresh-frozen pet food, as well as meat-based dry food.
“We understand a raw-pet-food diet is not for everyone, so we do offer some healthier dry-food options,” Santilli says, including brands that do not use any synthetic material. “But I think you should include at least some raw, high-moisture food, even if it’s just treats, to accompany your pet’s main food.”
The store also carries raw goat’s milk and bone broth to use as meal toppers and to add moisture and nutrients to pets that eat dry food.
The store’s “raw bar” offers freeze-dried treats, including duck heads, necks and hearts; pig snouts and ears; and turkey necks.

PPE Kits at TVCP - For A Limited Time!
In late July, the TVCP received one hundred and fifty boxes of PPE protective equipment kits supplied by JobsOhio.
The economic development director from Upper Arlington, Joe Henderson, contacted the TVCP and asked if TVCP could pick up one hundred and fifty boxes of the PPE kits and distribute them to our service area.
The PPE Kit includes:
10 N95 masks
100 3-ply masks
24 oz bottle of hand sanitizer
These are available on a first-come, first-served basis to any business with 100 employees or fewer.
Email the chamber at info@chamberpartenership.org for availability and to setup a time for pickup.
You do NOT need to be a TVCP member.

Advanced Wellness Center

The BBB is celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2020.
The BBB has about 2 million consumers that visit the local website each year to find businesses that they can trust and find out about scams or bad business practices that might be happening in the community.
The membership years ago changed to an accreditation, which is an evaluation based on standards. The BBB has a process to evaluate businesses on standards relative to their advertising practices in general and on the internet, their licensing, how they handle complaints, whether they were previously associated with a company that had problems. All this to set standards for how to build trust with the consumers.

The business raised $25,000 through Kickstarter in 2015 toward the expansion and spent last year shopping for space until it landed on the Edgehill spot near Grandview Yard.
After kicking around a few possibilities Lindsay Remley and husband/co-owner/co-founder Alex Remley centered on Edgework Creative. She said the multiple meanings of edge – literal edge work that is done in the shop, pushing the edges, even the street name of Edgehill – felt like a natural fit. "The smallness of the community doesn't necessarily mean we're sleepy. A goal of ours is to not be. I think the history of the village is very intriguing. Historically, people viewed it (Marble Cliff) as just sort of a laid back community, that was not necessarily on the same level as any other municipality. Schmidt's Food Truck
Michelle speaks with Andy Schmidt about this Columbus, OH icon restaurant expanding into the foot truck world.
Born just north of Frankfurt Germany, patriarch J. Fred Schmidt journeyed to America and settled in south Columbus in the early 1880’s. Opening the J. Fred Schmidt Meat Packing House in 1886 in the heart of German Village, Schmidt’s became Central Ohio’s most well known name in meats and is to this day sold in leading grocery stores around the country.
J. Fred’s grandson, George F. Schmidt, opened the company’s first restaurant in July of 1967 just around the corner from his grandfathers’ meat packing plant in German Village.
Using meat recipes from the packing days and dessert recipes from the German ladies hired to run the kitchen, Schmidt’s Sausage Haus became an instant success. Schmidt’s is still a landmark eatery in Central Ohio.
