The Paradox of Driving Range: Do people overestimate their needs? About Anxiety and the Perfect Range
Driving range is one of the biggest barriers for electric vehicles to be competitive on the market. But not necessarily because they do not cover people’s range needs, but rather due to a failure in presenting plausible solution concepts for each particular consumer segment. Rather than installing unnecessarily large battery packs, manufacturers should start to tackle the consumers misperception by smart marketing strategies.
