68. How ADHD Can Effect Your Emotions (Emotional Dsyregulation)
Play • 29 min

This week has not been the best week for us, so we thought we'd jump on the mic and talk about how ADHD can effect your emotions.  We discuss some of the things that we have over reacted over in the past, how we've felt and what we try to do to help each other. Emotional dysregulation is something that can have a negative impact on your life.

Research suggests that emotional dysregulation in individuals with ADHD may be related to impairments in the brain's prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for executive functions like regulating behavior and emotions. Individuals with ADHD may have deficits in these areas, which can contribute to difficulty with emotional regulation.
