Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. Non-Executive Director at Genex Insights. Non-Executive Director at Nudge Now

I am currently employed at IQbusiness as General Counsel/Company Secretary. I am responsible for attending to all legal matters throughout the group, whilst also attending to the company secretarial function by providing procedural, governance and compliance support to the CEO, CFO and Board of Directors. My role promotes and fosters a culture that supports IQbusiness’ mission and vision.

From June 2015 until April 2018, I was employed at Cartrack Holdings Limited (a JSE listed Company) as Group Legal Officer and Assistant Company secretary. I was primarily responsible for the legal function of the group (together with the Head of Legal) and I also assisted with the implementation and enforcement of good corporate governance and regulatory compliance practices throughout the group, in accordance with current legislation, applicable regulatory requirements and accepted best practices.

From January 2013 until May 2015, I was employed at Continental Outdoor Media (now JCDecaux) , the largest outdoor media company in Africa where I worked in the Legal department, focusing on drafting and vetting of all commercial agreements, dealing with the daily legal issues of the company both in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa, as well as engaging in negotiations and fostering relationships with key landlords such as ACSA, Spoornet, Johannesburg Property Company, and PRASA. I was placed in a management role, wherein I managed and supervised the “Site Rental Department”.

My role at Continental was primarily legal, but I had the luxury of engaging in various other aspects of the business which allowed me to develop my skills.
