S02 E03 / Finding Your Own Style & Life Shaped by Guitar | A Music Junkies Podcast w/ Rich Chambers
*PRIDE AND JOY* was part of putting the music list together. He says your songs are what influenced you and started you on the journey of life. Not all are his favorite songs, yet they were the most impactful. All Rich's social media is @santasrockinband. *SANTA'S ROCKING BAND* was Rich's first-ever release. Rich loves Christmas and all that comes with it. "If Santa had a band, Frosty would have to be a baseman... Rudolph would have to be the drummer... Santa would be conducting..." This inspired him to write the song in the middle of July during a heat wave.
*DAY TRIPPER*, which is not on his playlist, was the first song he learned to play on his guitar.
Who are these people copying *THE MONKEES*? That is what he asked his mom regarding the *BEATLES*. He learned he had it backward.
Between Christmas and New Year's, in 2020, during COVID, how did Rich feel? "Simply, *I'M SO TIRED*". It was not just about COVID it was about everything else surrounding it. We were all getting so tired, and the truth is, many of us are still there.
*I THINK I LOVE YOU*, is what Rich feels about the "F" word having power. This is how Rich feels when used properly. A swear word used properly has power. Overusing takes away the power.

S02 E02 / Dude We Aren't Doing So Hot | A Music Junkies Podcast with Calling All Captains
Luke had the *NERVE* to show up without having his teacup from Value Village with him on my Podcast! He did try to find it, and he couldn't, so an E for your Effort. :) The disappointment was quasi *UNDONE* when he told us that he is now into coffee cups. What a great marketing symbol though! Smashing the tea cups on their videos. A theme.
Nick is the only one who gets *WASTED* on liquor! He drinks for the whole group!
This group is not anywhere near being* DISCONNECTED*. They work so well together.
The group is unapologetically proud of being from Edmonton. Their provincial* LOYALTY* also expands to NICKELBACK, which is from Alberta as well. Is there anyone who can connect them to them? I am going to try, however, if anyone else can help out, PLEASE DO.
Their ridiculousness is never going to *COLLAPSE*! They are going to keep going and showing who they are. Five goofy dudes who are also serious about what they do.

S02 E01 / Let's Get This 88mph Party Started | A Music Junkies Podcast with Santos Medrano
Santos says that there are more songs in his head that live there rent-free than what is on his playlist. He *WANTED *everyone to listen to this Podcast and that is such a compliment. Thank you, Santos.
Santos loved the* POPULAR *podcasts before he started his own. It became *NEAR *to his heart to start one. He didn't *LINGER*. He started it up. And it is all about being *MORE HUMAN THAN HUMAN* on his show which is just about life and just about the 80s.
*BLAZE OF GLORY* is how he felt when he got his first-ever CD purchased with his own money. It was this song. *HOME* at a young age was all about family. There was a *FALLOUT* of his closeness to his older brother when his brother got into sports and then went into the army. Santos became close to his younger brother as "latch-key kids", and he helped to bring him up.
Girls were like, I "*CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF OF YOU*", when Santos was a kid. They loved him. :) It was a give me* ONE MORE TRY* with one of two girls that he had to pick from. That didn't work out.
In eighth grade, Santos was a loner. He would be looking at his other friends and thinking *KISS THEM FOR ME* because he was alone watching the Star Wars Trilogy.
Along with hosting the *88 Miles Per Hour Podcast*, Santos also has the* **Brothers Bears Podcast* which is with his little brother that covers nostalgia.

Pearl Jam, The Cranberries, and Alanis Morrisette are amongst the artists who inspired him and motivated him to pick up a guitar and start writing his songs in the mid-'90s.
The Rockin Krolik writes when the feelings are strong and lets it all out, inspired by personal experience and introspection, observation of nature and society as well as the story of others.
His debut album All About The Journey, released in June 2019, is an introduction featuring a selection of 10 songs written over the last 20 years.

#64 What's In A Name? | A Music Junkies Podcast as Guest on New Cleveland Radio.Net With Karen
Karen was amazed by the MUSIC JUNKIES' name. "Why that name?", Karen asked me. Where could I start? I love music like a junkie and it just popped into my mind. I didn't even know it would ever be a Podcast! There are others out there named the same, however, they were nothing like what I was doing. Gamers and such. Mine was going to be all about music.
Interesting that Karen thought that Canada was not about music like the US. I have to disagree kindly. We have many amazing musicians and Canadians love music. However, I can respect that some people in different countries don't know that.
The whole Podcast, where did it start? A friend, a daughter, interested, yet not sure. I put out an ad on Kijiji looking for extraordinary stories, and they were depressing. I already work in an industry that was already emotionally exhausting at times. I wanted something FUN! So my husband, Tyler, and I discussed playlists and how they affect our lives. Music - connecting with memories. And that is how it began, and I include some crazy questions too.
It is so refreshing to get "yes" instead of "no", and my creativity has been so excited about coming out. It's such a nice balance when you are so number, black and white focus on the financial industry, and just having fun with guests and learning about the fun, and sometimes an emotional attachment to their music. However, the emotional part is also so important and others out there can relate.
I explained to Karen that I don't believe that artists don't understand the impact their songs have on those listening. YOU, my junkies, DO KNOW.
Asked Karen, "if you don't like the songs sent to you by your guest, how do you deal with it?" Karen said she was a snob. I am not. However, I understand about "catching my attention". With me, it helps me design my questions for the guest and build fun in their environment.
What is your playlist? Write it out. And then write another a month later, or 6 months later, or a year later. You would be surprised how they change. Yes, your favorites will stay. However, the subs will change, even if with only 10. What is happening in your life will quite often reflect your top 10 music choices. Try it out...
