Jessica Toomey is Managing Director of the legendary Frog and Bucket Comedy Club in Manchester. She is also Leader of the “Women in Comedy” Festival, which is held annually and is the only festival of its’ kind in Europe.

Simon spoke with Jessica about the Frog and Bucket’s reputation as the cornerstone of comedy in the UK, along with the array of star comedians who have taken their first performance steps at the Frog.

Jessica spoke with Simon about her commitment to providing a more safe and supportive environment for new acts and the positive steps that have been taken in the industry in recent years in this area.

Simon also asked Jessica about the challenges presented by the pandemic period and the determination she was able to nurture in order to keep the Frog and Bucket is good financial health. Having sustained this positive business position, Jessica chatted to Simon about her exciting plans for the Club including retaining the Frog and Bucket’s reputation as the home of comedy talent whilst promoting diversity in the industry.
