#33. Leaving his mark on the hospitality sector – a toast to Graffiti Spirits Group founder Matty Farrell

Our most recent guest on Success Won’t Come Calling is none other than Matt Farrell. 

Matt has worked in the hospitality industry for 20 years, starting his career in a Catalonian family restaurant. 

Matt co-founded Graffiti Spirits Group which is an award-winning restaurant and bar hospitality group (GSG). Over the last 10-years they have become one of the North-wests leading independent bar and restaurant group, being an integral part to Liverpool’s nightlife.

Matt is a freelance food and travel writer and a member of the ‘Guild of food writers. In 2020 he launched the food podcast ‘The Weeds’, where he has had fantastic guests from the industry discuss their journey.
Matt spends a lot of his time dedicating to raising money for charity. He is involved with events to raise awareness for meningitis research, such as the NYC marathon in 2019 and the Great North Run in 2021. 

In 2017, Matt trained for media and acting work completing different courses and performances at Merseyside Academy for Drama. His first TV appearance was on BBC2’s Million Pound Menu.
