David Critchley is the CEO/Founder of LIDS and WellFed, Luban Cools and is a partner at Knowsley Kitchen. 

David started his experience in the kitchen at a young age, working in The Halfway House at age 15, while he completed his education. 

Working his way up through the ranks, David went from Junior Sous Chef at Alma de Cuba to the Executive Head Chef of the Lu Ban Bar and Restaurant. 

On 24th July 2020, David was bestowed one of the highest honours in the catering world after being appointed the first ever international Master chef apprentice in Chinese culinary arts.

Critchley will now follow a defined path, overseen by his mentor Mr Zhengxi Wu, in enhancing his skills in Chinese culinary arts to reach Master Chef status from the famed Tianjin School of Cuisine.
