Play • 52 min

As you can imagine, it takes a great deal of strength to be a police officers wife and have a incredible marriage. Ashley met Sean over 12 years ago and also took on the job of being a step mom to his three girls. She explains what the effects are on her and their family when her husband Sean is off to work each day.

Sean has worked his way up to Sargent and recently lost one his brother's in blue that he supervised. Officer Joseph Shinners was gunned down while trying to arrest a threatening fugitive this last January. The link the story is listed below. Ashley discusses how they're getting through this incredibly difficult time and offers some great advice to others that may be struggling with something similar.
