Easter Season Pt. 2
We are currently experiencing Holy Week which will end in the big event... Easter! One of Christianity’s biggest events and the crew here at TPS wants to celebrate with you! Easter is a time of celebration but my friends… we ask.. are we missing out on the fullness of the season? Ash Wednesday, Lent, Holy Week…? All these events lead up to that glorious day when many get to shout out all the Hallelujahs they’ve been holding back!
Here at the Progressive sacred the crew has set up a two parter episode in which we will go over what the events leading up to Easter may look like and give our personal experience with them. Join us here in part two… and thanks for checking out part 1, if you haven't you can always go back!

What does love mean and how is it that we all have such a different perception of love? As we wait in the Advent season how are we shaping the way we love in a way that resembles the love shown by the Christ to come? Christ Country Club
*What was Jesus about? Was he trying to start an exclusive club or was he trying to create a new world of inclusivity? These questions have dogged Christianity for millennia. Some Christians insist that God’s love is exclusive, so that only certain types of believers are saved. Scriptures such as John 14.6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” are often used as a tribalist form of salvation.
In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus mission and ministry is depicted differently. Jesus doesn’t see himself as an inclusive club leader, instead he interprets his work as liberating and prophetic. At the very beginning of his preaching career, Jesus declares:*
*“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,*
* because he has anointed me*
* to bring good news to the poor.*
*He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives*
* and recovery of sight to the blind,*
* to let the oppressed go free.” -Luke 4:18*
