Part II: Tori travels home to Virginia and visits with renowned international griot and poet Nikki Giovanni in the watermark year of 2019 for the diaspora and humanity (2019 being the 400th year since our ancestors arrived in Virginia to create a new global culture). They discuss Giovanni's life and thoughts on the future, humanity, politics, and the highs and lows of it all. Giovanni is arguably the greatest living poet in the world, as well as a beloved activist and educator. On this second episode, Giovanni shares her adoration for Muhammad Ali and Serena Williams, her position on gun control, and her hope for the future.
