In Episode #12 We speak with professional footballer Fiona Brown; currently playing for FC Rosengard in Sweden. Fiona has represented her country in both the European Championships & was part of the first ever Scotland Women's National squad to play at a World Cup Finals (France 2019).
We get a great insight into the day to day life as a professional footballer & get a unique behind the scenes preview of what its like to play at a World Cup & in the Champions league. We discuss Fiona's career & some of the difficulties trying to make it as a professional in the women's game.
Fiona has had some great highs & also horrible lows in the game that she loves so much, but admits she truly is living the dream.
We had a really great chat with Fiona and it was extremely interesting to get her perspective on the profound changes that she has experienced in the women’s game throughout her career. Fiona like many of her peers paved a new path in the sport particularly in Scotland, she credits the effort of those who have worked so relentlessly before her to get the sport where it is today. We believe Fiona's story will inspire many to pursue their dreams even if it does not yet seem like a reality.
