Carrie Janell Hamner spent 7 years as a Radio City Music Hall Rockette. Throughout her strenuous career as a dancer, she didn’t know she had PKD. Quite by accident, after a dance injury, she was diagnosed. PKD (Ploycystic Kidney Disease) is a genetic disease (passed from an affected parent to their child) causing uncontrolled growth of cysts in the kidneys eventually leading to kidney failure. It affects more than 600,000 Americans and 12.4 million people worldwide. Join me today to hear Carrie’s story, and listen to how she used the science of Ayurveda and yoga to manage her disease in order to be able to have a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Let’s spread awareness, and direct those living with PKD in the right direction to live their most healthy lives.
