I found this video on YouTube, on the TMJ4 channel with the journalist being Rebecca Klopf. According to the video this wedding videographer is being sued for giving a client a video with almost all of the footage being from another bride's wedding. He is also allegedly being sued for not showing up to another bride's wedding. A third bride was interviewed and allegedly she hired his company to perform DJ, video, photo booth and lighting but only the DJ showed up.

9 Wedding myths we should stop believing
So today I’m a little frustrated. One of my girlfriends is engaged. We were talking about the wedding planning and she broke down in tears. After some sympathy crying and hugging it out, I finally able get my friend to tell me what reduced her to a heap of emotions. It turns out that she found and fell in love with a photographer. Her photos were gorgeous. Her style was in line with what my friend was looking for and they instantly clicked.
Sounds perfect, right? Well it was but my friend believed one of the myths that says “don’t pick the first vendor, gown, or “whatever” you find. Well my friend believed this myth and told the photographer that she is going to get other quotes and get back with her.
My friend met with 4 other photographers of the span of 2 weeks. With each consultation, she compared them to the first photographer and none of them measured up. Finally, after that last consultation, my friend contacted the first photographer to tell her the good news but the photographer also had numerous consultations over that 2 week time span and was booked for my friend’s wedding date.
I’m not saying always hire the first person you meet. By all means, do your research and become knowledgeable about prices and services in your area. Also understand that there’s a fine line between being informed and just plain OCD. Trust your gut. If you feel this vendor is the right fit, don’t hesitate to lock them in.

How to Plan a Non-Religious Wedding

Should you tip your vendors
Big shout out to Aubrey Nyberg, Beth Delgado, Andrea Graci & Charlene Catherine from the Wedding Planning Club Facebook Group. Your questions in the Facebook Group are the reason I wanted to speak about this topic today.
When you're already digging deep into your pockets for wedding expenses, allotting room in your budget for gratuities on top of that can be hard to handle.
Tipping is optional. If you don’t want to tip, you don’t have to. If the vendor did a poor job, definitely reconsider tipping them. If you’re over the moon happy with your vendor, the most universal way of showing it is by giving them money. We tip the pizza delivery guy, the person that carries your groceries to you car and the blackjack dealer. And those people don’t have a vested interest in the success of the biggest day of your life.

Time to Sparkle
Everybody has to be prepared and informed to capture a sparkler exit, or any sparkler photo. There are some technicalities involved that are better handled by a seasoned photographer.
When it comes to lining up sparkler photos, the possibilities are endless! Guests usually form a sort of tunnel for the bride and groom to walk through. These photos are fun because you get to see all the people who stayed to the end of the wedding. Capturing a kiss at the end of the tunnel also makes for some great photos.

This is not exactly a micro wedding that I talked about in a previous podcast. The Minimony takes intimate to the next level. Minimonies are a commitment ceremony held between you and your partner, and a few close friends and family.
While this trend has developed due to the uncertainty around the pandemic, and many couples are still planning a reception when things normalize, I actually really love it!
Imagine an intimate day, just you and your loved ones, everything you wanted still there, the dress, the decor, the love, just minus all the stress. I really hope the trend is here to stay.

Waking up on your Wedding Day
Set your intention for the beautiful day! Think through your morning agenda ahead of time, and have someone you trust help you make a schedule. This could be a parent, member of the wedding party, host couple, or personal attendant. Ideally, if they’re available on the day-of, have them share the schedule with your wedding party and keep time on the morning activities. This way you’ll stay on schedule, but YOU won’t feel the need to stress. After all, this is YOUR big day, so allow yourself to let others do things for you.

What are Micro-weddings
Unlike an elopement (a bride and groom’s secretive ceremony), the guest list for micro weddings is small. But this doesn’t necessarily mean the wedding has to be anything less than amazing. Micro weddings allow a couple on a budget to bring their true wedding daydreams to life!
Imagine a normal Fort Lauderdale wedding celebration, just on a way smaller scale. Micro weddings most still have a ceremony and reception with dinner, decor, cake, and entertainment. The event is typically 40 people or less, with the majority of micro weddings in the range of 15 to 25 guests. A smaller guest list means less seating, centerpieces, linens, food, and the list goes on. According to The Knot’s 2019 Real Weddings Study, the average wedding last year cost over $33,000 when a micro wedding can be achieved under $10,000. Talk about major savings!
