The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch
It's Phil's pick this time around and Jay, under the influence of Chew-Z spends far too much time debating the meaning of the word 'stigmata'. More importantly, what does a Barbie doll like character called Perky Pat have to do with colonies on Mars? There's a lot to unpack in this second go around with a Phillip K. Dick novel and Jay experiences 60 Freuds of stress as he ends up having to reread the book. (Yes stress is measured in Freuds in the Dickensian universe.)

Dune
Wait has Phil picked a book this time that' s not out of print? Hold on, this book has actually been read by a few people. What? Has Dog-eared and Cracked finally sold out ? Picking a book to read that isn't obscure or a hundred years old ?

The 50th Law
*Jay recommends The 50th Law by Robert Greene and 50 Cent, to Phil this time and they discuss their love of the book. Well, one of them does anyway. Spoiler alert, Phil is no prince to this book though he does thank Jay for the opportunity to have caught up on his sleep while reading it. Somewhere in the midst of this discourse, Jay tries to impress the listener by name dropping and then realizes he cannot correctly pronounce the name of the Czech philosopher, Mihaly Csikszentmihaly.
