Teaching the Next Generation How to DIY and More! - #74
How do you teach the next generation of kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews the DIY skills, life skills, home improvement, home maintenance, etc. that they need? I've started something this summer with my three sons (ages 16, 12, and 10) called the Summer Life Skills Camp, where I'm teaching them all the important things I want them to learn: how to use tools, how to understand a paystub, how to properly vacuum the house, how to write a courteous email, how to read a tape measure, and more. While they can't learn everything in just one summer, this checklist gives me a structured list to use to begin teaching my kids some of the most important life skills they'll need, even if we only cover a fraction of the list this summer! What essential skills are you teaching your kids? Let's chat about it!
