Splitboarding, Serendipity and Connecting the Dots - Lesley McKenna
Play • 26 min

Lesley McKenna is a former professional snowboarder, 3 x Olympian, coach, mentor, mother and yoga teacher. She has recently launched Wandering Workshops with photographer and sports journalist, Hannah Bailey, offering split boarding and ski touring adventures which combine expert coaching with creating a holistic and embodied connection with the natural environment.

In this episode, Lesley and I talk about what first brought her to snowboarding and split boarding. We discuss the benefits she has experienced personally from time spent outdoors and in nature. Lesley talks about the inspiration behind Wandering Workshops, the interconnection between action sports and the environment and how challenging the dominant narrative around these sports can impact positively on both our experience and perspective.
