Dani French is a Physics Teacher, Former Royal Engineer, Mum of 2 and poster girl for The Everyday Adventure Podcast (that's her leaping off a rock on our cover photo!) And this is for very good reason...other than the fact that it's an awesome photo*, in so many ways Dani epitomises what everyday adventures and this podcast are all about.
Dani has always been pretty adventurous, but it was during her recovery from hip surgery a few years ago, that she realised that her energy had become more focused on facilitating other people's adventures than her own. As a result of this, she decided to set herself a number of mini adventures, including learning to swim (she recently completed a 5.8km open water swim!) which has since expanded into the idea of tackling 42 challenges before reaching the age of 42.
Her adventures so far have included rowing 100 miles from Lands End Peninsula to Devon, wild camping with her son and learning to do wheelies on her mountain bike. In our conversation, Dani talks about how she she reconnected with her adventurous side and how learning to embrace vulnerability has been so important in taking on new challenges, speaking out on what is important to her and finding joy in everyday moments.
