In today's Monday Musing I'm talking about who's in charge round here ... and by 'round here' I'm referring to YOUR body and YOUR movement choices.
There has been a discussion in some yoga teacher forums about what is and isn't 'safe' to teach virtually and whether students should have their cameras on during virtual classes ... and I have some thoughts about this I'd like to share.
First, we dive into what 'safety' actually means and why we can't deem a particular position, pose or movement as safe or unsafe for every body. We HAVE to understand the role of the nervous system when we talk about 'safety'.
Then we dip into this question of who is in charge. Are teachers giving instructions or offering invitations? Where does responsibility lie?
Listen in then share your thoughts with me!
