"Hello everyone and welcome to episode 50 of the Root of the Science Podcasts! Yes, you heard me, 50 whole episodes. For those of you who are hearing my voice for the first time, this is Nathasia Muwanigwa; I am Zimbabwean PhD student currently in Luxembourg and the cofounder of Visibility STEM Africa. I am so incredibly honored to be guest hosting the final episode of season 1 of the Root of the Science podcasts, where I will be chatting with the amazing Anne with an E, picking up from episode 49 where we mainly focused on the root of her science and her journey in STEM. I just want to start off this podcast by saying how proud I am of Anne for everything she has been able to achieve over these last few months with this podcast. As someone who is passionate about amplifying the voices of Africans in STEM, I have so much gratitude for the work that Anne has done in creating this beautiful and inspiring space, where African scientists can tell their stories in an authentic way. It is only fitting that we wrap up the season with Anne telling us a bit more about what motivated her to birth the idea of this podcast and how she took that idea and turned it into a reality. She recaps some of the gems that stuck with her from previous episodes and acknowledges the many people who helped her through this journey. Finally, we talk about the future – the future of the podcast, Anne’s future on a professional and personal note, and what season 2 will have in store for us. Thank you so much for tuning in, and enjoy this amazing episode!"
